What We Do

Our Managing Partners, Murray Lee and Karen Bradford, have worked together for more than twenty years, completing hundreds of search assignments and refining their process along the way. Every engagement flows through three phases to secure an exceptional new executive.

Phase 1, Design

Learn: The process begins by meeting with your key decision makers. The more we know about your organization, the more effective and efficient the search will be.

Prepare: A strategic action plan to focus our research on the best candidates to identify and qualify.

Create: Necessary documents to run the search effectively. This includes an “Opportunity Profile” and “Executive Questionnaire.”

Research: Finding top talent is a blend of science and creativity. Our marketplace research yields highly qualified candidates and appropriate referral sources.

“From the start, Murray impressed our search committee and our administrative team with his high level of communication, thoroughness, and attention to detail. The design of the search process was created and carried through from start to finish with input from all stakeholders and careful guidance from Murray.”

A.M., Board President

Phase 2, Execute

Recruit: Individualized and discreet contact to talented candidates that establishes rapport and ignites their interest.

Qualify: Comprehensive interviews confirm qualifications and the potential for a cultural fit while promoting your organization.

Present: Submit qualified candidates for your consideration.

Facilitate: Coordinate your interview process and deliver feedback to and from all participants.

Manage: Closure provided to those being released as you focus on finalists.

“I knew that any candidates Karen presented to me were well-vetted and worth my time and consideration. She took the time and effort to make sure the candidates presented to us were really the best candidates.”

Phase 3, Deliver

Confirm: Background checks, professional references, and employment verification.

Secure: Deliver your offer, mediate when necessary, and secure their acceptance.

Resignation: Support is provided to your new employee with best practices for resigning and navigating any counteroffer scenarios.

Transition: Communication is maintained with you and your new employee during their notice period as they prepare to onboard.

“Murray and Karen understood that we weren’t just searching for someone who could fit in with our executive team of 4, we needed someone who could mesh with an entire high-functioning team of directors. Our chosen candidate is an extraordinary leader!”

E.M., President

Integration Coaching

A Highly Recommended Add-on Service

Ensure a successful transition as you bring a new leader into your organization! Once a hire is made, we highly recommend Integration Coaching to enhance your new team member’s effectiveness.

It’s widely accepted that change is inevitable, and how people respond is a matter of choice. Even before your new executive arrives, they begin connecting with peers and adjusting to your organization’s culture. A successful onboarding requires more than previous experience and necessary skills. It also requires mutual acceptance of new people and ideas—by both the executive and the established team.

Integration Coaching minimizes the possibility of missteps, builds early traction, and increases retention and long-term effectiveness.

Our network of executive coaches serves corporate and nonprofit clients across a wide range of industries. Once you’ve selected a coach, they meet with stakeholders to agree on key metrics and first-year goals. Then, the coach works closely with the executive and direct supervisor over a 3- to 6-month engagement, providing focus, feedback, and transparency.

Integration Coaching can be added to the search engagement at any point in the process. The service fee is determined by the length of the engagement and the number of participants.

You’ve already made a significant investment to secure your new executive. This is how you protect it!

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Murray and seeing firsthand the impact of his work in executive recruiting. Since 2001, he has been connecting outstanding organizations with exceptional leaders. He does it with a level of professionalism, care, and insight that sets him apart.

Murray brings a rare ability to truly understand both sides of the equation: the unique challenges and culture of each organization, and the skills and leadership qualities needed in C-Suite candidates. Whether working with corporate clients or nonprofit boards, he consistently identifies, recruits, and places leaders who not only fit the role but also elevate the organization.

What stands out most is his integrity and dedication to solving challenges for his clients. He doesn’t just fill a position – he ensures the right match to drive long-term success. If your organization is looking for an Executive Director, President/CEO, or other senior leader, I can’t recommend Murray highly enough. He is a trusted advisor and a true partner in executive search.

Karen’s communication and consistency throughout the search process helped us so much. She was extremely attentive to our needs and asked all the right questions. This was a difficult search which presented some limitations, but Karen rolled up her sleeves and found us fantastic candidates. The person we ended up hiring could have been hired at that first interview!
